NTA CSIR UGC NET Exam Pattern 2023

Candidates should keep in mind that the NTA CSIR UGC NET Exam in 2023 will contain negative markings. As a result, the degree of examination automatically rises.

The exam will last for 3 hours and will be in the form of an objective-type, multiple-choice question format. There will be no intermission between papers. The test will comprise three sections: Part A, Part B, and Part C. The mode of examination will be strictly limited to Computer-Based Tests (CBT).

  • Section C consists of 4 questions, with 1.32 points lost for each incorrect response.

Life Sciences UGC NET of the CSIR

  • Parts A, B, and C each have 20, 50, and 75 questions, with candidates answering a maximum of 15, 35, and 25 questions.
  • Each question will have four different answers, with only one correct solution.
  • Parts A, B, and C have two, two, and four-mark questions.
  • Wrong responses will result in a 25% mark deduction.

 Mathematical Sciences

  • Parts A, B, and C have 20, 40, and 60 questions, respectively, with candidates having to answer 15, 25, and 20 questions in Parts A, B, and C.
  • Each question will have four possible answers. Only one correct answer will be given in Parts A and B, while questions in Part C can have many correct answers.
